Our continuous cord roman shades shades are Rollease systems and the cords behind the shade roll up onto the aluminum tube. You operate the roman shade by pulling down on the silver bead chain that hangs on the backside. The difference between our corded shades and chain roman shades is that the corded shades you need to pull on the strings that hang down along the back side and for the chain ones, you pull on the silver bead chain.

This chain system is considered a child safe option under the Windows Association and voluntary standards guidelines.
