Faux Roman Shades

Our faux roman shades, also sometimes referred to as stationary roman shades, look almost identical to our functional roman shades. Unlike some other shade shops, we try to make the shade still have just as many folds as an operational shade. However, if you are trying to save money on fabric, we can make the shade with fewer folds, which means less fabric is required. But when we quote you for a faux roman shade, we quote as if the shade is functional, so there will be just as many folds. The amount of folds also depends on the “drop” of the faux shade. The drop refers to how long you’d like the shade to be when it’s installed (including the folds). So this wouldn't be the length of the window itself, but the length of the shade when raised up at its fixed height. The longer the drop, the fewer the folds it may have. So a 25” drop might have a larger flat section on top and then 2 folds on the bottom. Faux shades are normally made with regular liner.
