Classic Roman Shades

Our classic roman shades, also sometimes referred to as flat roman shades, come with dowels that are hidden inside white pockets on the back of the shade liner, so they blend in nicely with the liner fabric. They help form the crisp folds. The shades do not have any stitching across the face of the fabric, which eliminates pin holes and prevents the fabric pattern from being interrupted. The standard stack height is usually between 10-15” but it also depends on the size of window and fabric used. They come in blackout, regular liner and thermal. All roman shades should have some sort of a liner. When the shade is in the down position, the shade fabric is flat. When the shade is raised, the folds form and stack on top of each other. Stacking also depends on a few factors, such as fabric content and size of window. Mostly all roman shades will have at least 3 folds but standard and longer windows have more folds. The longer the window, usually the more folds the shade will have. The folds are usually from 4-8”. The size of the fold also depends on the size of the shade.
