Description of Styles:

Rod Pocket

With a sewn pocket at the top, rod pocket drapery accommodates typical curtain rod hardware and is traditional and casual. The design creates a gathering of fabric at the desired places across the width of the rod. As far as drapery pleat styles go Rod Pocket Drapery creates a very casual look with uneven pleats across its width, thanks to how the fabric gathers or stretches across the rod. This is the most cost effective drapery. The pocket will be about 2-3” wide, but standard sizes are available. When measuring, measure from the top of the rod, down to the floor or shorter if you’d like.

Tab Back

Perfect if you want a more tailored look than the rod pocket but you want the option of being able to use rings (you supply rings and poke pin through tabs) or just slide your rod through the tabs and not use the rings at all. Tab Back also requires less fabric than some other tailored styles, like the pinch pleat. For measuring, you would usually measure from the top of the rod, down to the floor (if planning to use just the rod, no rings). If using rings, usually you will measure from the bottom of the rod, down to the floor, or shorter if you’d like, but this varies slightly.

Tab Top

Also a great option if you want a casual style that does not require any rings. You slide your rod through the tabs, which are at the very top, unlike the tab back style, which has the tabs hidden in the back. For measuring, you will measure top of rod down to floor, or shorter if you’d like.

Pinch Pleat (requires 2.5x the amount of fabric due to the gatherings)

As far as drapery pleat styles go, pinch pleat is a classic that’s having a revival. The drapery creates a natural visual break with a simple, elegant shape. Pinch Pleat Drapery is highly functional especially when used in a track system or with your rings. You would attach the ring pins to the back side of the drapery. Rings and pins not provided. While typically grouped with other traditional drapery styles, Pinch Pleat Drapery is versatile enough to be used in a variety of homes, from traditional contemporary. For a subtle sense of luxury, measure your custom drapery length a few inches longer than you need so the curtains trail gently on the ground. Pinch pleat are usually a little more costly because they take longer to make. Also the fabric is about 2 1/2 times more than some other styles, due to the pleat. One width of a 54” wide fabric= a finished panel about 25” wide, after the fabric is pleated. So if your curtain needs to be wider than 25”, 2 widths of fabric are sewn together.

*All curtains can be made with blackout or regular liner. The price is the same for either liner. All panels can be made with your choice of ribbon/trim.‍ ‍

Cornice boards

Cornices are a great way to add more visual interest to the window and add a little extra pop to the room! They are easy to hang and even though they're made out of wood, they are not too heavy.

The cornice is made from quality wood and is padded and then upholstered with the customer's fabric of choice. The best weight is medium weight decor fabric or heavy/upholstery weight fabric. I will provide you with the yardage you will need when the order is placed, or you may email me for more information. A cornice that is under 48" wide with a 4" projection will usually require just 1 yard of fabric.

This cornice has an 8" drop and projects 4" from the wall. If you have curtains that you would like to keep behind the cornice, you may wish to have a bigger projection. The cost is the same for larger projections/returns. 4" projection is fairly standard if you are mounting it over a bare window or a window with shades or blinds. If you would like a 10" drop we are also able to do that. Please email us for more information, as the pricing will be slightly different.

Hardware is included and it's fairly simple to mount our cornices!! We provide instructions along with the hardware. The cornice comes with inconspicuous D rings attached already on the backside. You'll receive 2 brackets that you will drill into your wall to hook the rings onto.
